Bio
Overview: Junior Thrower who has become one of the best hammer and weight throwers for the Bulldogs...also throws the shot put, discus, and javelin. Had a toss of 42.86 meters (140ft, 7.4in) in the hammer throw at the Coastal Carolina Invitational (3/13/09)...Threw the weight 13.77 meters (45ft, 2in) at the Dick Taylor Invitational (2/13/09).
Before UNC Asheville: Played baseball for Methodist College...Attended Chase HS in Sandy Mush, NC ... did not compete in track & field in high school ... lettered three years in both baseball and football at Chase HS ... named all-conference in baseball junior and senior seasons as well as team MVP ... played on the same travel team as Florida Marlins outfielder Cameron Maybin.
