Overview: Senior and team captain for the Bulldogs...Has shown steady improvement in the shot put, hammer throw and weight throw...will also throw the disc this season...top hammer throw last year was 43.30 meters (142 ft)...top shot put throw came at the Appalachain Limited Meet (2/9/08) with toss of 14.01m (45ft, 11.5 in), also threw 13.22 meters (43ft, 4 in) in the weight at the same meet.
Before UNC Asheville: Enjoyed a great career at Watauga HS for head coach Randy McDonough...first team all-conference performer in outdoor track as a junior and senior...named to All-Region team following senior season...finished in 10th place in National Scholastic Indoor Meet senior year...set school record for shot put and discus senior year...lettered in football.
