Overview: Transfer from N.C. State who sat out the 2011 season but had a huge impact as a red-shirt freshman in 2012 and a key reason for the Bulldogs success the past three years...excellent student who was named to the Big South All-Academic Team in 2013 & 2014.
2014: Played in four different flights in singles action, tallying a 4-14 overall record...posted a 2-8 record while playing primarily in the #5 flight...went 1-7 in league play...played in three difference doubles flights, finishing with a 10-9 overall mark...went 7-9 overall while primarily playing in #2 flight...finished with a 4-4 doubles record in Big South Conference play with wins over Longwood (x2), Gardner-Webb and Radford.
2013: Had a solid sophomore campaign as he was Asheville’s #5 player at singles and teamed up with Daniel Kripak and Pete Conaty at #2 doubles…in singles play compiled a 9-8 overall record with 9-7 mark at #5 flight…opened the season with wins in five of his first six matches…went 2-2 in three-set matches with victories vs. Appalachian State and Longwood…doubles record was 6-8 with 4-4 worksheet in league play…earned league wins over Longwood, Radford, Presbyterian College and Winthrop.
2012: Played three different flights in singles and compiled a 6-8 record as he went 2-0 at #4, 2-4 and #5 and #6 flights...went 2-3 in Big South Conference matches...teamed up with Pete Conaty at #3 doubles and enjoyed a tremendous season...the duo had a 12-7 overall record but 6-1 mark in Big South Conference play and were named regular-season champions...won their final four matches of the season in doubles and six of the last seven...earned key singles win at Coastal Carolina (4-14) as he won in three sets over Sam Barr to help lead Bulldogs to 4-3 win and clinch second-place finish...also won three-set match vs. Presbyterian College (4-11) in regular-season.
Before UNC Asheville: Began career at N.C. State but was only there for the fall of 2010 before transferring to UNC Asheville that spring...went to Broughton HS but only played freshman and sophomore year there...excellent soccer player who didn't start playing tennis until he was 14...made finals of Tar Heels Qualifier (18) in 2010.
