High School: Attended Evergreen Valley HS in San Jose, CA ... competed in cross country and track & field under the direction of coaches Frank Slaton and George Manriquez ... earned All-State in cross country and All-Conference in track & field ... served as team captain all four years in both cross country and track & field ... received "All Heart" award in track ... named her team's MVP of distance athletes in track all four years ... also participated in varsity soccer all four years, where she was named all-conference three times ... was a honor roll student throughout high school ... owned personal bests of 2:22 (800), 5:28 (mile) and 11:36 (2mile) and 19:49 (5k).
