2023 Season (Sophomore) - During his second season in Asheville, Schiff appeared in 17 games almost exclusively out of the Bulldog bullpen...Schiff went 1-0 with an 8.31 ERA in 17.1 innings pitched...Schiff struck out 21 batters on the season and held opposing hitters to a .269 batting average...Was the winning pitcher on April 2 vs. Presbyterian...Pitched a season-high 2.1 innings vs. Radford on May 12...Tossed a scoreless inning at nationally-ranked Tennessee in late March...Honored for his work in the classroom by landing a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Â
2022 Season (Freshman) - In his first season as a Bulldog, Schiff made 15 appearances and made eight starts...He made his collegiate debut with a relief outing on February 20 at Virginia Tech...Made his first career start on March 2 at Wofford where he threw two scoreless innings...Struck out a season-high three batters in a game he started against High Point on March 8...Picked up his first collegiate win in a relief appearance at Radford on April 22...Arguably his best appearance of the season occurred on May 10 at ETSU...He started that contest and threw three scoreless innings allowing two hits, did not walk a batter to go with a strikeout.Â
Prior to UNC Asheville -Â Schiff posted an ERA under 2.00 as a high school pitcher finishing his prep career with a 1.56 ERA...He also averaged more than one strikeout per inning pitched in high school striking out 50 batters in 40.1 inning of work...A member of a conference championship team, Schiff was an All-State Honorable Mention selection as a senior after posting a 5-1 record with a 1.52 ERA...A two-time recipient of the AP Scholar Award and finished his time in high school with a 4.4 grade-point average.
