Overview: Hard worker who has gone from walk-on to starter in the frontcourt for the Bulldogs...one of four seniors on this year’s team...moved into starting line-up last year and did solid job...was on team in 2003-04 before transferring out...came back for the 2005-06 season and earned scholarship with his play that year for 2006-07 season...was high school teammate of former Bulldog Oliver Holmes at Hoggard HS in Wilmington...did not start playing basketball until 10th grade.
2006-07: Moved permanently into the starting line-up at strong forward when the Bulldogs played at Louisville (12-30) and was there for the rest of the season... had double-double in league opener against Liberty (1-6) with 10 points and 10 rebounds...tallied 10 points at High Point (1-13)...opened the season on strong note with nine points and four rebounds in victory over NAIA power Montreat (11-10)...contributed eight points in home win over Brevard (2-7) as he went 4-of-6 from the field...improved significantly as a free throw shooter as shot 67 percent (24-of-36) after shooting 59 percent the previous season...had six points and five rebounds in BSC tournament win at Coastal Carolina (2-27)...third on team in blocked shots with 11.
2005-06 Played in 27 games and started four times...helped lead Bulldogs to first win of the season with 10 points and two rebound effort against Furman as he went 3-of-3 from the field and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe...had a successful homecoming at UNC Wilmington with eight points as he knocked down only two treys of the year...just missed a double-double at Charleston Southern as he scored eight points and collected career-best 10 rebounds...scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds in home win over Liberty...tallied 10 points at Coastal Carolina during the regular season...pumped in five points and earned five rebounds in home victory over VMI...blocked nine shots on the year with two over Brevard...dished out season-high four assists in home win over Liberty...made seven of his last 10 field goal attempts.
Hoggard HS: Lettered for three years at Hoggard HS in Wilmington before graduating in 2003...senior year averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds for team that finished with 19-6 overall record...led team in rebounds and blocked shots as a senior...was named team captain as a senior and selected to all-conference team.
