KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The UNC Asheville Men's Soccer team has earned the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, announced by the organization today (Friday, Aug. 7).

UNC Asheville Men's Soccer has earned the award for the 11th time in program history, and for the first time under head coach Danny Frid. The Bulldog posted a 3.49 team grade point average during the 2025-26 academic year.

"I'm extremely proud of the team for their achievements on and off the field," said Frid. "Our guy chase excellence in everything they do and the team's GPA reflects that. Our athletes have so much great support at UNC Asheville and I'm glad they take advantage of it!"

The Bulldogs start the 2026 season on Thursday (Aug. 20) at home against Northern Kentucky. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
