Men's Soccer Cracks Top 25 in Top Drawer Soccer National Poll for Program's First-Ever National Ranking

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer has officially cracked the national rankings for the first time in program history, coming in at No. 22 in the latest Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 poll.Â

The Bulldogs are off to the best start in the program's Division I era at 8-1-1 on the season, while also being 2-0-0 in Big South Conference play for the first time since 2020 having won their last six on one of the program's longest-ever winning streaks. To date, Asheville is among the nation's best in several statistical categories. The Bulldogs lead the nation in goal differential, scoring offense, Goals Against Average and shutouts.

To date this season, Asheville has collected seven Big South Conference weekly awards and landed Ware on a Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week twice while he also earned Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week honors once.

Asheville's lone draw came at then No. 3/2 Furman in a 1-1 affair back on Aug. 24, while lone loss on the year came at Memphis on Sept. 4 by a score of 3-1.

The Bulldogs (8-1-1, 2-0-0 Big South Conference) return to action Friday night (Oct. 2) at Gardner-Webb in Big South Conference play. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. from Boiling Springs, N.C. with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com. Â
