A Look at the 2026-27 UNC Asheville Women's Basketball Roster

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Here's a look at the 2026-27 UNC Asheville Women's Basketball roster heading into Tynesha Lewis's third year as head coach.
 
#1 LaNicia Parker | 5-10 | Guard | Sophomore | Parkville, Mo. | Missouri Western State
 
Parker comes to Asheville from Division II Missouri Western State, where she appeared in 29 games making one start as a freshman. She averaged 19.4 minutes per game, eight points per game and four rebounds per game while shooting 39 percent from the floor and 28 percent from three-point range.
 
#2 Jamaria Freeman | 5-6 | Guard | Sophomore | Wilson, N.C.
 
Freeman played in 29 games making 25 starts as a freshman, totaling 832 minutes averaging 29 minutes per game. She totaled 287 points, 87 rebounds, 109 assists, 55 steals and seven blocks. Freeman scored a career-high 21 points and a career-high seven steals on a career-high eight field goals made at USC Upstate (Feb. 14), while pulling down a career-high 11 rebounds at High Point (Dec. 31). She posted her first career double-double at Longwood (Feb. 7) with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while dishing out a career-high nine assists against Charleston Southern (Jan. 14). She made a career-high four three-pointers against High Point on Feb. 18, and also went a career-best 10-14 at the free throw line on Feb. 21 against Presbyterian. Freeman was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week back-to-back weeks before being named to the All-Freshman Team.
 
#3 Niyonna Asbelle | 5-11 | Guard | Freshman | Kershaw, S.C. | Andrew Jackson HS

The Kershaw, S.C. native has helped Andrew Jackson High School to back-to-back AA South Carolina state championships averaging 20 points per game, six rebounds per game and six assists per game. She was also a 2024-25 AA All-State selection.

#4 Riley Milausnic | 5-7 | Junior | Guard | Dyer, Ind. | Purdue Northwest

Milausnic comes to Asheville after playing her first two seasons at Division II Purdue Northwest. She appeared in 54 games, making 26 starts while averaging 20 minutes per game. She averaged 6.6 points per game, two blocks per game and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 32 percent from the floor, 31 percent from three-point range and 77 percent from the line.

#5 Sophia Ross | 5-8 | Guard | Freshman | El Dorado Hills, Calif.

As a senior, Ross played in 31 games at Oak Hills High School averaging 14.4 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game and 2.6 assists per game.

#7 Mercy Wamet | 6-5 | Forward/Center | Senior | Dallas, Texas | Prairie View A&M

Wamet is a long, athletic forward with the ability to be a lockdown defender and rim protector. Wamnet also has great hands and does a great job of rebounding outside of her area.

#9 Dariasia Pitts | 6-0 | Forward | Sophomore | Fort Meade, Fla. | Bethune Cookman

Pitts comes to Asheville from Bethune Cookman, having appeared in 18 games as a freshman averaging 7.9 minutes per game shooting 44 percent from the field.

#10 Amany Lopez | 5-8 | Guard | Junior | Springfield, Mass. | Rider

Lopez comes to Asheville after two seasons at Rider, playing in 39 games in Lawrenceville. She averaged 9.7 minutes per game for the Broncs.

#11 Makenna Armstrong | 6-2 | Forward | Sophomore | Rockwall, Texas | East Texas A&M

Armstrong comes to Asheville after redshirting her freshman season at East Texas A&M.

#19 Amaya Shaw | 6-2 | Forward | Sophomore | Lakeland, Fla. | East Carolina

Shaw played her freshman season at East Carolina, appearing in nine games.

#23 Tre'Miyah Berry | 5-9 | Junior | Guard | Conyers, Ga. | Alabama A&M

Berry joins the Bulldogs from Alabama A&M, where she played in 17 games averaging 6.6 minutes per game.

#24 Clementina Odom | 6-4 | Forward | Senior | London, England

Odom appeared in 18 games making four starts before missing the remainder of the season due to injury. She totaled 171 minutes averaging 9.5 minutes per game. Odom scored a career-high 12 points on a career-best 4-9 shooting including going 4-8 from the foul line against Warren Wilson (Nov. 6). She also pulled down a career-high three rebounds three different times, while grabbing a career-high two steals against Warren Wilson while posting two blocks in the opener against Mercer (Nov. 3). 

#25 Tristan Stoutermire | 6-5 | Center | Sophomore | Birmingham, Ala. | Purdue Northwest

Stoutermire is a force down low and also brings size down low.

#53 Olivia Johnson | 6-4 | Center | Sophomore | Hermantown, Minn. | University of Wisconsin-Stout

Olivia Johnson is a rim protector, and an old-school, blue-collar post player. She loves to be physical and takes pride in rebounding and defending. She also has a real good offensive game which makes her a threat on both ends of the floor.
