Louis Beckett '25 Joins Men's Soccer Staff as Assistant Coach

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer alum Louis Beckett '25 has joined the Bulldogs men's soccer staff as an assistant coach, announced today (Friday, July 10) by head coach Danny Frid.

"We are very excited to add Louis to our staff for the upcoming season," said Frid. "Anytime we can add a recent alumni that has a passion for helping our players and program is a great thing! Louis was with us for the Spring season and understands what it means to be a Bulldog and what we are trying to achieve. Welcome Louis!"

Beckett finished his collegiate career with the Bulldogs, playing his last two seasons in Asheville in 2024 and 2025. He appeared in 33 matches making 14 starts, scoring eight goals and tallying seven assists for 23 career points including one game-winning goal in 1,234 career minutes. Beckett was named to the 2025 Big South Conference Top Returners Watch List prior to last season, before being named the Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 13, 2025 and to the Top Drawer Soccer Honorable Mention Team of the week on Oct. 14, 2025. He was also a 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection.
