Bulldogs Celebrate Senior Day with Win over Presbyterian

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis celebrated Senior Day with a 5-2 win over Presbyterian on Wednesday (Apr. 8). The Bulldogs have officially finished the season undefeated at home on the year (5-0).

Asheville captured two wins in doubles play for the doubles point, before winning four singles matches to take the win. Avery Sager and Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon earned a win by default at No. 3 doubles, before Angelina Joy Hug and Sofia Segui clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Roxana Valdes and Ladina Bruhin at No. 1.

Hug would beat Valdes 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1, before Sager would beat Sofia Rodrigo Hidalgo 1-6, 6-0, 6-4 at No. 3 to put the Bulldogs up 3-1. Segi would post a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) victory over Grace Katzman at No. 4, while Brandon earned a win by default at No. 6.
