Bulldogs Capture Share of Regular Season Title with Result at Charleston Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis has captured a share of the Big South Conference Regular Season Championship in today's (Saturday, Apr. 11) result against Charleston Southern, despite the Bulldogs falling 5-2 in the match. This marks the third time in the last four seasons that the Bulldogs have captured at least a share of the Big South Conference Regular Season Championship.

Charleston Southern took a 1-0 lead in doubles play, before Avery Sager and Maria sol Alvarez Brandon picked up wins for the Bulldogs in singles play to bring the match to its final score.

Brandon got the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Camila Molina at No. 5, before Sager picked up Asheville's other win with a 7-5, 6-7, 10-4 win over Carlota Farres at No. 3.
