Men's Tennis Heads South for Spring Break

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis will head south for Spring Break, playing four matches through this weekend and next week.

UNC Asheville (4-4) vs. Stonehill (3-5)

Saturday, Mar. 7, 2026 | 5 PM | Charleston, SC | Turner Tennis Center at Patriots Point

About the Bulldogs - The Bulldogs head into the trip 4-4 overall after a dramatic 4-3 win over North Carolina Central back on Saturday (Feb. 28). The Bulldogs are 23-19 in singles play along with a 12-10 mark in doubles play. Jip Mens leads the way with five wins in singles play, while Daniel Franco-Key and Cian Ingles each have four wins in singles play. Martin Fuks and Harrison Cooper each have three wins in singles play, while Trevor Gray has two wins and Leo Kolbe and Luke Ruecker each have one. Gray and Mens lead the way in doubles play with five wins, while Griffin Lovern and Cooper have four wins as a team. Kolbe and Ruecker have two wins in doubles play, while Ingles and Franco-Key also have one win as a doubles pair.

About the Skyhawks - Stonehill comes into the matchup at 3-5 overall after a 5-2 loss at Binghamton back on Feb. 15. Stonehill enters with a 37-46 combined singles record along with a 20-28 combined doubles record. Benjamin Beaudry leads the way with eight singles wins, while Jacob Borch-Nielsen and Nicolas Arrendondo each have seven wins on the season. Alessandro Munoz has six wins in singles play, while Guillermo Bennaton has five wins and Hector Cebrian has four wins. Cebrian and Borch-Neilsen lead the way in doubles play with seven wins, while Beaudry and Jaiver Gutierrez also have six wins in doubles play. Seven other doubles pairs each have one win on the season.

Series History - This will be the first-ever meeting between Asheville and Stonehill in men's tennis.

About the Bobcats - St. Thomas comes into the matchup at 1-4 on the season after a 5-0 loss at Keiser back on Feb. 25. St. Thomas has eight singles wins on the season, to go along with five doubles wins. Pablo Olmedo and Mariano Alberton Hasenhkopf each have two singles wins on the season, while Arthur Bugeaud, Pierlu Cruypemmimck and Maxime Varotchi each have one singles win. Bugeaud and Hasenhkopf have two wins to lead the way in doubles play, while three other doubles pairs each have one win.

Series History - This will be the first-ever meeting between Asheville and St. Thomas (Fla.) in men's tennis.

UNC Asheville vs. Fairfield (1-6)

Blake Roegner and Remi St. Laurent lead the way in doubles play with two wins, while Evan Glebov and Ivan Vazquez also have one win in doubles play.
