ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis edged Campbell 4-3 on Saturday (Mar. 28) at Asheville School for their second straight win.

Asheville swept doubles play, before grinding out three singles wins to take the match. Angelina Joy Hug and Sofia Segui started doubles play with a 6-2 win over Sonia Pieczynska and Ilouna Aneca, before Maria Sol Alvarez Brandon and Avery Sager clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No. 3 over Sandra Mari Marti and Mollie Garcia. Valeria Centeno and Isabella Moss completed the doubles sweep with a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Aubrey Carroll and Hayley Glen.

Campbell tied the match 1-1 in singles play with a win at No. 5, before Sager put the Bulldogs back up 2-1 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Aneca at No. 3. Campbell yet again tied the match with a win at No. 4, before taking a 3-2 lead with a win at No. 2. Centeno posted a 7-5, 6-3 win over Carroll at No. 6 to tie the match, before Hug clinched the win with a 6-3, 0-6, 6-0 win over Garcia at No. 1.
