Bulldogs Travel to Raleigh and Davidson for Weekend Meets

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville track and field team will travel to Davidson University for the Davidson Relays this weekend (March 27-28). Two Bulldogs will travel to NC State for the Raleigh Relays, as Jan Málek and Aneta Kucerová represent Asheville in the 3,000m steeplechase.

Málek is set to compete in the men's 3,000m steeplechase at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26.
Kucerová will race the women's 3,000m steeplechase at 5:03 p.m. on Friday, March 27.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bulldogs compete at Raleigh and Davidson after securing five wins at home during their season opener, the Big South vs SoCon Challenge (March 21).
Málek opened the meet with a win in the men's 5,000m (14:49.26), and Shemarr Session added two victories for Asheville in the men's 110m hurdles (14.52), and the men's 200m (21.12). Madison Hannah took first-place in the women's discus with a throw of 41.42 meters, and Jonas Roach led the men's 2,000m steeplechase to win in 6:26.37.
The women's 4x100m relay team of Kieayla Williams, Francesca Cergol, Alexis Vaughan, and Kamryn Peeples placed third in 46.91, breaking the school record.
Nkosi Jeju opened his outdoor season with a second-place finish in the men's long jump (7.25m).
