Bulldogs Down Fairfield for Fourth Straight Win

ORLANDO, Fla. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis took down Fairfield 4-1 on Tuesday (Mar. 10) for the team's fourth straight win. This marks the third straight season that the Bulldogs have posted a win streak of at least four matches, dating back to 2023-24.

Asheville swept doubles play to secure the doubles point, before winning three matches to take the match.

Cian Ingles and Jip Mens started off the day with a 7-5 win at No. 2 over Alex Aguiar and Calum Jessett, before Griffin Lovern and Harrison Cooper beat Kostal Kollias and Kacper Krolikowski 7-5 at No. 1 to clinch the doubles point. Daniel Franco-Key and Leo Kolbe went on to beat Diego Alcala and Pol Otin 7-6 (7-3) at No. 3 to complete the doubles sweep.

Mens began singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 over Krolikowski, before Fairfield picked up its lone win of the day at No. 5. Cooper would pick up a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kollias at No. 4, before Franco-Key would clinch the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Jessett at No. 3.
