Men's Tennis Opens 2026 Versus King (Tenn.) Wednesday, at Elon on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - After inclement weather postponed the team's opening weekend, UNC Asheville Men's Tennis is ready to open the Dustin Hale era and its 2026 season this week. The Bulldogs will host King (Tenn.) on Wednesday (Feb. 4), before traveling to Elon on Friday (Feb. 6).

About the Bulldogs - Asheville was picked fourth in the Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Asheville returns Second Team All-Conference selection Cian Ingles, along with Trevor Gray, Griffin Lovern and Luke Ruecker. Nikola Parichkov and Veljko Krstic lead the Phoenix with five doubles wins, while two different doubles pairs each have three wins and two others have two wins each. Three other doubles pairs each have one win apiece. Krstic leads the team with 11 singles wins, while Jack Curtis and Rafel Ymer each have eight wins in singles play. Parichkov has seven wins in singles play, while two others have five singles wins on the year. Alonso Roca (four), Sibby Rodi (three), Nick Fisk (two) and Luke Forester (one) also have wins in singles play.
