Patterson Shoots Season Low to Lead Asheville in Second Round of Red Sky Classic

WOLCOTT, Colo. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team improved its second round score by nine strokes from yesterday's opening round of the Golfweek Red Sky Classic, highlighted by a red-hot round from Caroline Patterson.

Patterson fired a three-under 69, improving from her opening-round 75 to climb into a tie for 13th overall at 144 (E). Her steady play included five birdies, giving the Bulldogs a strong individual showing against a highly competitive national field.

Breanna Hoese followed Patterson with a 74 and is tied for 41st with her two-round score of 149 (+5), keeping herself inside the top half of the leaderboard.

Lauren Madson (79–76) and Jordyn Arts (78–77) improved from their first round scores and are in a four-way tie for 74th. Pennie Osterberg (77–82) rounds out the lineup with a two-round score of 159 (+15). Osterberg is tied for 84th.

At the top of the individual leaderboard, Southern California's Jasmine Koo and LSU's Francesca Fiorellini share the lead at 135 (–9) through 36 holes. USC's Kylie Chong sits just one shot back in third.

UNC Asheville returns for the third and final round of the Red Sky Classic on Wednesday (Sept. 24).
