Baseball Drops Series Opener at Western Kentucky on Friday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - UNC Asheville Baseball dropped its series opener at Western Kentucky on Friday (Mar. 7) by a score of 12-0.

Western Kentucky scored six runs in the first, one in the second and five in the sixth to bring the game to its final score. Â

Corbin Lanowitz and Rylen Stockton each had hits in the game for Asheville. Branden Barna (0-1) took the loss getting the start, before being relieved by 3.1 innings from Tony Lopez. Lopez did allow three runs but only gave up one hit with two walks and three strikeouts. Chase Buscher and Cal Barna each tossed one third of an inning out of the bullpen in the game.
