Women's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Contest to Western Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis dropped its non-conference contest to Western Carolina on Friday (Feb. 28) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown by a score of 4-3.
Asheville won the doubles point for a 1-0 lead, before Western Carolina rallied for four wins in singles play to take the match.
Angelina Joy Hug and Ari Siegel defeated Chloe Schwarz and Jade Groen 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, before Valeria Centeno and Elizabeth Tindera beat Madison Schwarz and Angela Perez 6-4 at No. 3 to capture the doubles point. Hug would pick up a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles over Isabella Sambola, while Asheville's other win came at No. 5 as Keira Stewart beat Andrea Redondo 7-5, 7-5.
