UNC Asheville comes into the matchup at 4-8 overall after a 94-39 win over Simmons College of Kentucky back on Dec. 17.

Asheville also ranks 52^nd in the nation in free throws made per game at 14.67, along with ranking 29^th in the nation and second in the conference in three-point percentage defense at 25.9 percent.
Aileen Marquez is 46^th in the nation and third in the conference in three-pointers made (33) and third in the league and 41^st in the nation in three-pointers per game (2.75).
Asheville is fifth in the Big South in scoring at 63.4 points per game, while also ranking second in the league in scoring defense at 61.4 points per game.
Asheville is fourth in the league in rebounding at 38.4 rebounds per game, while also being tied for fourth in opponent rebounding defense at 38.5 rebounds per game.
Nia Green is seventh in the conference in scoring at 12.6 points per game, while Marquez is eighth in the league at 12.1 points per game. Jamaria Freeman is also 21^st in the league in scoring at 9.6 points per game.
Deborah Orianegbena is tied for ninth in the league in rebounding at 6.0 boards per game, while Journee McDaniel is 11^th in the league at 5.9 rebounds per game and Green is also 12^th in the league at 5.8 rebounds per game. Freeman is also tied for 23^rd at 4.2 rebounds per game.
Freeman is tied for third in the league in assists per game at 3.8, while McDaniel is tied for 12^th at 2.5 assists per game. Green is 15^th in the league at 2.2 assists per game, while Trinity Fields is also tied for 20^th at 1.8 assists per game.

Brevard is ranked nationally in Division III in assists per game (34^th, 16.5), free throw percentage (12^th, 76.8 percent), defensive rebounds per game (20^th, 31.7) and scoring offense (30^th, 74.5).
Brevard is also fifth in the USA South in scoring defense at 62.1 points per game. The Tornados are also second in the league in rebounding at 46.7 rebounds per game, while they're also fourth in the league in opponent rebounding average at 39.1 rebounds per game.
Analee Morris leads the league and ranks 46^th in Division III with 42 assts on the season, while Olivia Miller leads the league and ranks sixth nationally in field goal percentage (60.5) and ninth in total field goals (78).

This will be the fifth all-time meeting between Asheville and Brevard, with Asheville leading the series 3-1 on a three-game win streak. Asheville won last year's matchup inside Kimmel Arena 79-45 back on Dec. 30, 2024.
