Women's Swimming and Diving Hosts Davidson for Non-Conference Dual on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving will host Davidson for a non-conference dual on Saturday (Nov. 8). Swimming begins at 12:00 p.m. at the Justice Center Pool, while diving will start at 4:00 p.m. at the Asheville Jewish Community Center.

About the Bulldogs - The Bulldogs enter the matchup at 1-1 in duals on the season. Asheville returns 16 swimmers from a season ago while adding three new faces to the roster.
The Bulldogs return two divers from a season ago in senior Haley Fein and junior Leigha Travis. Asheville also welcomes freshman Eleanor Pichetto to the mix. Travis earned Atlantic Sun Conference Diver of the Week honors back on Sept. 30 after a solid performance at Davidson, while breaking the 3M school record at East Carolina back on Nov. 1.

About the Wildcats - Davidson enters the weekend at 3-2 overall on a three-meet winning streak after a 203-85 win over Old Dominion back on Nov. 1.

From Head Coach Elizabeth Lykins – "We're looking forward to hosting Davidson for their first time on our campus. They are a strong team and will require us to compete tough and smart.
But, we are most excited to have our first home meet of the year!"

Series History - This will be the seventh all-time matchup between Asheville and Davidson, with Davidson leading the all-time series 5-1. Davidson won last year's meeting at home 175-125 on Oct. 26, 2024. This will be Davidson's first-ever trip to the Justice Center for a competition.
