11.01.2025 | Women's Swimming & Diving
GREENVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Swimming and Diving saw its first record fall of the 2025-26 season as Leigha Travis set a new program record in the three-meter event with a score of 245.78 at East Carolina on Saturday (Nov. 1). The record had stood since Jade Canady's 244.25 performance at last year's Atlantic Sun Conference Championships.
Â
Travis's record performance placed her sixth in the 3M event, while Haley Fein finished seventh with a score of 190.20. Travis also led Asheville with a sixth-place finish in the one-meter dive with a score of 210.08, while Eleanor Pichetto made her Bulldog debut with a seventh-place finish and a score of 183.68. Fein also finished eighth in the event with a score of 181.65.
Â
"It was a great weekend for diving!" said diving coach Bailey Betzer. We're super proud of Leigha for breaking the school record on 3M and absolutely crushing it! It was also very nice to have a full squad for the first time this season. They all showed up for one another and supported each other. Go Bulldogs!"
Â
The Bulldogs return to the water next Saturday (Nov. 8) to host Davidson in non-conference action. Swimming will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Justice Center Pool, while diving will start at 4:00 p.m. at the Asheville Jewish Community Center.
