FARMVILLE, Va. - UNC Asheville Women's Soccer fell at Longwood on Saturday (Oct. 25) in Big South Conference action by a score of 2-0.

Longwood put on offensive pressure from the opening whistle, ultimately breaking through for the first goal in the 18th minute when Karleigh Minson scored to give them a 1-0 lead. Asheville would attempt to mount an offensive presence, but the Lancers would respond with another goal in the 37th minute. After a shot from Remi Siner was knocked down by Gracie Murray, Taylor Hoag was there to stash it home for a 2-0 Lancer lead. Longwood took its 2-0 lead to the break.

Asheville was able to muster a bit more offense in the second half but was unable to find the back of the net.

The Bulldogs totaled four shots in the match, with two coming from Lili Adams and one each from Akari Kishida and Georgia Duke. Murray made four saves in the contest between the pipes.

The Bulldogs return home next Wednesday (Oct. 29) for the regular season finale against USC Upstate for the latest installment of the Ingles I-26 Rivalry. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
