Bulldogs Secure Point with Scoreless Draw Against Presbyterian

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer secured a point in the Big South Conference standings with a 0-0 draw against Presbyterian Saturday night (Oct. 18) at Greenwood Field.

The teams spent most of the first half testing the waters, with only seven combined shots in the half. Asheville posted five to Presbyterian's two in the opening period, along with posting three corner kicks while holding the visitors without one.

The intensity picked up a bit in the second half, with each team creating a few potential scoring chances. Presbyterian registered five shots to Asheville's three, while Asheville posted five corner kicks to Presbyterian's two in the half. Each team secures one point in the league standings with the draw.

Asheville outshot Presbyterian 8-7 in the match, including 4-1 in shots on goal. Lennart Granzow led the offense with two shots in the match, while Rinta Takagi, Rodrigo Mendes, Brede Fiksdal, Aysa Hamid and Joseph Ling each had one shot in the match. Lucca Barros (6-4-2) stopped one save in his second shutout of the season and the second of his Bulldog career.
