Bulldogs Blank Tusculum for Second Straight Shutout

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis blanked Tusculum for the team's second straight shutout on the season on Saturday (Jan. 25) at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
Asheville swept all three doubles matches on the day for the doubles point, before sweeping singles play for the shutout. Angelina Joy Hug and Ari Siegel blanked Elodie Baechler and Ylva Frafjord Landa 6-0 at No. 1, before Avery Sager and Louise Booker beat Thilda Danielsson and Samira Butt 6-2 at No. 2. Valeria Centeno and Alexis Nyborg blanked Katie Bradley and Luisa Gerke 6-0 at No. 3 to finish up doubles. Hug went on to beat Landa in singles play 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1, before Booker beat Danielsson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2. Julia Caffarena defeated Jimena Rivera 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3, before Luise van Rensburg beat Butt 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Centeno went on to blank Bradley 6-0, 6-0, before Keira Stewart beat Gerke 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 to complete the clean sweep.
