Baseball Drops Middle Game to High Point on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Baseball dropped the middle game of its Big South Conference to High Point on Saturday (Apr. 6) by a score of 8-0.
Robbie Burnett paced the Bulldogs going 3-4 with a double, eclipsing 150 hits for his Bulldog career. Ty Kaufman also had two hits in the game, while Michael Groves also had one hit. Colby Guy (4-3) took the loss on the hill, allowing four runs on six hits through four innings while walking five and striking out two. Justin Honeycutt relieved Guy for the final five innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits with two walks and six punchouts. Coleman McGinnis played a solid defensive game behind the dish, throwing out two runners and helping to nail a third runner caught stealing on a play at the plate.Â
The Bulldogs look for the series win tomorrow (Sunday, Apr. 7) as they take on High Point for the series finale. First pitch is set for 12:00 p.m. from Greenwood Field, with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
