Men's Tennis Battles, but Falls to Gardner-Webb on Senior Day

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis battled on Senior Day, but fell to Big South Conference Regular Season Champion Gardner-Webb on Friday (Apr. 5) by a score of 4-3 at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
Asheville was able to capture the doubles point with two wins in doubles play, before Gardner-Webb rallied for four wins in singles play to capture the victory. Freddy Murray and Sam Nicholson got the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-3 win over John Spring and Alex Lepine at No. 3 doubles, before Bruno Serra and Cian Ingles clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win over Numa Lemieux-Monette and Jurie Terblanche at No. 2. Serra went on to beat Christian Van Wyk 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 5, before Murray brought the match to its final score with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Eduardo Dias at No. 1.
