Bulldogs Top Presbyterian 5-2 for Key Big South Conference Victory

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -Â UNC Asheville Men's Tennis topped Presbyterian 5-2 on Monday (Apr. 8) for a key Big South Conference victory.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with two victories in doubles play, before winning four out of six singles matches to secure the pivotal conference win.
Jon Brann Reid and Rafa Serra teamed up for a 6-1 win over Javier Matos and Denim Yadav at No. 1, before Bruno Serra and Tarek Erlewein secured the doubles point with a 6-2 victory over Austin Skoog and David Mamalat at No. 3. Rafa Serra began singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Skoog at No. 6, before Sam Nicholson beat Matos 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. Reid clinched the match at No. 3 with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Pedro Cardoso, before Freddy Murray picked up Asheville's final victory with a 7-6 (7-2) 6-0 win over Mamalat.
