Final round of Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate canceled; Bulldogs finish ninth

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team looked to round out the three-round Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate on Wednesday, but due to inclement weather, the final round of the tournament was canceled. The tournament was shortened to a 36-hole event, with the Bulldogs finishing in ninth out of 19 teams.

HOW THE BULLDOGS FINISHED
Asheville's two-round team score was 597, as the Bulldogs shot 298 on Monday and 299 on Tuesday. As a team, the Bulldogs were 29-over par.
Beryl Giletti finished tied in 29th with rounds of 71 and 77, finishing 6-over par.
Madyson Gold and Phoebe Carles finished tied in 34th. Carles shot rounds of 75 and 74, and Gold shot rounds of 77 and 72. Both finished 7-over par.
Claudia Salvador finished tied in 49th with rounds of 75 and 77, and Hailey Pendleton finished tied in 68th with rounds of 79 and 76.

Asheville returns to the course to close out its regular season at the Brickyard Collegiate, hosted by Mercer, April 8-9.
