Bulldogs Beat Western Carolina for Second Straight Win

CULLOWHEE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis beat Western Carolina for its second straight win on Tuesday (Mar. 19) by a score of 4-2.
Asheville captured two out of three doubles matches to secure the doubles point, with Valeria Centeno and Louise Booker tying things up in doubles play with a 6-1 win at No. 3 over Dasha Osadova and Andrea Rendondo. Linge Steenkamp and Ari Siegel clinched the doubles point for Asheville with a 6-1 win over Angela Perez and Isabella Sambola at No. 1. Linge Steenkamp put the Bulldogs ahead 2-1 with a 6-1, 7-5 win at No. 1 singles over Sambola, before Centeno made it 3-1 with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 win at No. 5 over Rendondo. Siegel clinched the match for Asheville with a 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Osadova at No. 6.
