Bulldogs Battle for 4-3 Win over UAB

FORT MYERS, Fla. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis battled for a 4-3 win over UAB on Sunday (Mar. 10) at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs dropped two out of three matches in doubles play as the Blazers took the doubles point, but Asheville rallied to win the match with four wins in singles play.
Bruno Serra got the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Iker Dellien at No. 4, before Asheville quickly fell behind 3-1 with two Blazer wins in singles. Freddy Murray beat Vojtech Podzemmy 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1, before Rafa Serra beat Chase Parker 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6 to tie the match 3-3. Tarek Erlewein secured the win with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 over Georgios Nouchakis.Â
