Louise Booker Earns Big South Conference Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week Honors

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville's Louise Booker has earned Big South Conference Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week honors, announced by the league today (Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024).
Booker helped Asheville extend its winning streak to five with 7-0 victories over North Greenville (Feb. 17) and Queens (N.C.) (Feb. 18). Booker teamed up with Avery Sager for a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles against North Greenville, before posting a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. Booker and Sager teamed up for a 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles in the match against Queens, while Booker went on to sweep her No. 2 singles match 6-0, 6-0.
This is Booker's second career Freshman of the Week honor. She is a native of Lowestoft, Suffolk, United Kingdom.
The Bulldogs (5-2) return to action on Saturday (Feb. 24) hosting Kennesaw State in non-conference action. First serve is set for 11:30 a.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
