Women's Basketball Opens 2024-25 Season at Mercer on Monday

UNC Asheville enters the 2024-25 season with seven returners and eight newcomers for the first season under new head coach Tynesha Lewis.
Among the returners are seniors LaImani Simmons (10.1 points per game) and Abigail Wilson (5.1 points per game).
Of Asheville's eight returners, six are transfers and two are freshmen.
Mercer defeated Division II Young Harris College 61-28 in an exhibition game on Oct. 30.
Mercer was picked seventh in the 2024-25 Southern Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
