Alexis Nyborg Posts Runner-Up Finish at the Big South Conference Individual Championships

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Sophomore Alexis Nyborg posted a runner-up finish at the Big South Conference Individual Championships on Sunday (Oct. 27).
Nyborg fell in the championship match to Marina Skegro of Charleston Southern 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.
I thought the weekend went really well considering the circumstances," said head coach Lise Gregory. "Alexis played some great singles matches but unfortunately was not 100% physically in the final. The fall is all about getting better and I feel like we did that."
The Bulldogs return to the courts to wrap up their fall season this coming weekend (Nov. 1-3) at the Wofford Invitational.
