Women's Tennis Falls at Furman on Saturday

GREENVILLE, S.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis fell at Furman on Saturday (Jan. 27) by a score of 5-2. This ends Asheville's 16-match regular season winning streak dating back to last season.
Asheville came up empty in doubles play but was able to pick up two wins in singles play. Angelina Joy Hug beat Grace Thomas 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 4, while Valeria Centeno earned a 6-1, 6-4 win over Marissa Pennings.
Doubles Competition
The Bulldogs (1-1) return to the courts on Saturday (Feb. 3) to host Davidson in non-conference action. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
