Women's Tennis Set for 2024 Campaign

FULL BIG SOUTH CONFERENCE PRESEASON RELEASE

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Tennis is set for its 2024 campaign, the 18th under head coach and reigning Big South Conference Coach of the Year Lise Gregory.
The Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll is listed below:
  1. Charleston Southern (36 points)
  2. UNC Asheville (29 points)
  3. Presbyterian (22 points)
  4. Gardner-Webb (19 points)
  5. Longwood (11 points)
  6. Radford (Nine points)
Asheville returns nine players from last season's regular season championship team, including 2023 Big South Conference Freshman of the Year Elizabeth Tindera. Asheville also returns 2023 All-Conference Singles selections Linge Steenkamp, Rosie Dickson and Avery Sager, along with All-Conference Doubles tandems Tindera and Valeria Centeno and Steenkamp and Ari Siegel.

"We're not going to read too much into preseason rankings," said Gregory. "The standings that matter will come at the end of the season."

The Bulldogs open their 2024 season on Saturday, Jan. 20 at home against Emmanuel (Ga.). First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. from the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
