REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS! Bulldogs Defeat Charleston Southern on Senior Day to Claim Big South Conference Regular Season Championship

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team defeated Charleston Southern by a score of 4-1 on Senior Day on Saturday (Apr. 8), capturing the program's first Big South Conference regular season championship since 1989. The Bulldogs also extended their winning streak to 15 matches in a row with the victory.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with two out of three victories, before taking three singles matches to cement the win.
Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson beat Luiza Fullana and Kkyanna Singh 6-3 at No. 1 doubles, before Linge Steenkamp and Ari Siegel beat Amila Jusufbegovic and Noa Boyd 6-2 to clinch the doubles point. Dougah continued her Senior Day with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Fullana at No. 1 singles, while Elizabeth Tindera would grind out a 7-6, 4-6 6-4 win over Boyd at No. 3 singles. Dickson would clinch the match and the regular season title with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Marina Skegro at No. 4 singles.
