Bulldogs Notch Second Straight Win with Shutout over UNC Greensboro

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Men's Tennis notched its second straight win with a 7-0 shutout over UNC Greensboro at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown on Wednesday (Mar. 29).
The Bulldogs won two out of three matches for the doubles point, before sweeping six singles matches to complete the shutout. Sam Nicholson and Chester Wickwire started things off by beating Wyatt Cannon and Harrison Gwynn 6-1 at No. 3 doubles, before Harry Thursfield and Bruno Serra beat Christopher Johns and Tymofiy Khrystyuk 6-3 at No. 2 doubles to secure the doubles point. Thursfield went on to beat David Flisberg 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3 singles, before Nicholson would beat John Gabelic 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. Freddy Murray would take down Andrew Black 6-1, 6-3 at No. 6 singles, before Bruno Serra beat Christopher Johns 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4. Wickwire would go on to beat Devon Moskowitz 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (2-0) at No. 5 singles, before Jon Brann Reid wrapped things up over Khrystyuk 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
