Men's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Contest to Richmond on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville men's tennis dropped a non-conference contest to visiting Richmond on Friday (Mar. 17) by a score of 4-3.
The Bulldogs captured the doubles point with wins in two out of three matches, before Richmond would earn four wins in singles play for the victory.
Jon Brann Reid and Rafa Serra teamed up to beat Daniel Kliebhan and William Karpinski 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, before Harry Thursfield and Bruno Serra beat John Walsh and Alex Wernink 7-6 at No. 2 to win the doubles point. Sam Nicholson would defeat Karpinski at No. 2 singles 7-6 (3-0), 6-1, before Rafa Serra would pick up Asheville's other win by defeating Wernink 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (9-0). Â
