Last Time Out – Asheville picked up a 75-63 victory over Gardner-Webb on Saturday. The Bulldogs improved to 22-7 overall and 14-2 in Big South play with Saturday's win. Furthermore, that win along with a loss for Radford clinched the Big South Regular Season Championship for the Bulldogs.

Success in Kimmel Arena – Asheville will close out its home schedule on Wednesday. If the Bulldogs, who are 12-0 at Kimmel Arena this season, knock off the Buccaneers it'll clinch their third undefeated home schedule in program history and the first since the 1985-86 campaign. Additionally, Asheville is one of 15 teams in Division I men's college basketball that are undefeated at home this season.

Tajion Nears 1,900 Points – In a season that Tajion Jones has achieved milestones that few UNC Asheville players have ever done, he is about to add one more to the list soon. Jones needs to score just 17 more points to become the 15th player in Big South history to score 1,900 points. He'd also be the third Bulldog to reach this mark joining Bamford Jones (1,919 points) and Jim McElhaney (1,904 points). With 37 more points, Jones will have scored more points than any UNC Asheville men's basketball player in history.

Pember Named Big South Player of the Week – The Big South Conference announced on Monday that UNC Asheville's Drew Pember had been named the League's Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played between February 13-19. It marks the fifth time this season that Pember has earned this honor and the eighth time in his career. Pember's eight player of the week awards is the most for any player in the history of UNC Asheville men's basketball and is tied for the third-most in Conference history.

Look ahead to the Postseason - The Big South Regular Season Championship, which is Asheville's eighth overall and its fourth outright title, means the Bulldogs will be the No. 1 seed in the 2023 Hercules Tires Big South Basketball Tournament in the first week of March at the Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte. Furthermore, the regular season title clinches an automatic spot for the Bulldogs into the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) should they not qualify for the NCAA Tournament. About Charleston Southern – Charleston Southern enters Wednesday's game with the Bulldogs on a six-game losing skid. CSU's last win came back on January 28 when it defeated Longwood on the road, 75-63. A player to watch for the Buccaneers is Claudell Harris Jr., who is averaging 17.6 points per game this season.

Series Rewind vs. Charleston Southern – Asheville and Charleston Southern have matched up over 80 times over the years and the first matchup was all the way back in the 1960s. The Bulldogs hold a 52-39 edge in the all-time series with one of those wins coming earlier this season in Charleston, 73-63. Furthermore, the Bulldogs have beaten Charleston Southern nine of the last 10 times these two squads have matched up in Asheville.
