Women's Basketball Drops Big South Contest to Gardner-Webb

 ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville Women's Basketball dropped its Big South Conference contest to Gardner-Webb on Saturday (Jan. 14) by a score of 76-45.
As a team, the Bulldogs out-scored Gardner-Webb 27-12 off the bench in the game. Jordaynia Ivie led the Bulldogs with 15 points in the game, while McKinley Brooks-Sumpter added eight and Jamaya Blanks had six. Abigail Wilson chipped in five points in the game, while Nycerra Minnis had four and Faith Adams had three. Mallory Bruce and Jamia Blake each also had two points in the game. Brooks-Sumpter and Blanks each had five rebounds in the game, while Adams and Bruce each had four. Blake had three rebounds in the game, while Ivie and Wilson each had two and Millie Brown also had one. Brooks-Sumpter and Adams each dished out two assists in the game, while Blanks, Blake, Ivie, Brown and Dakota McCaughan each helped on one Asheville bucket in the game. Ivie led the Bulldogs with two steals in the game, while Blanks, Blake, Wilson and Minnis each had one. Minnis posted the lone rejection in the game for Asheville.
The Bulldogs return to the floor in Kimmel Arena on Wednesday (Jan. 18) to face Charleston Southern in Big South Conference action for Faculty Appreciation Night.
