Women's Tennis Hosts Lees-McRae and Chattanooga This Weekend to Open 2023

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's tennis hosts Lees-McRae and Chattanooga this weekend to open the 2023 schedule.
About the Bulldogs - Asheville was picked second in the Big South Conference preseason coaches' poll, after advancing to the semifinals of the Big South Conference championships a season ago. The Bulldogs return four All-Conference selections in Rosie Dickson, Ami Grace Dougah, Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp.
About the Bobcats - Lees-McRae enters the matchup at 0-2 overall on the year, with losses to Mars Hill (4-2) and Young Harris (4-1) back in October during the fall season. Â
About the Mocs - Chattanooga returns six letterwinners to the squad in 2023, along with three newcomers. The Mocs competed at the Austin Peay Fall Invite, the Middle Tennessee State Hidden Dual, the Georgia Southern Invite and the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals.
Saturday's (Jan. 14) match against Lees-McRae and Sunday's (Jan. 15) match against Chattanooga will both start at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
