Asheville Women's Tennis Picked Second in the Big South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

UNC Asheville women's tennis has been picked second in the Big South Conference preseason coaches' poll, announced by the league today (Tuesday, Jan. 10).

The Bulldogs advanced to the Big South Conference semifinals last season, returning four All-Conference selections in Rosie Dickson, Ami Grace Dougah, Ari Siegel and Linge Steenkamp.

Defending conference champion Charleston Southern topped the poll with 49 points and seven first-place votes, while Asheville was voted second with 37 points. Campbell was picked third with 35 points, while Gardner-Webb was slated fourth with 29 points. Presbyterian (23 points), Radford (16 points) and Longwood (seven points) rounded out the poll.

The Bulldogs open their 2023 slate on Saturday (Jan. 14) against Lees-McRae before taking on Chattanooga on Sunday (Jan. 15). Both matches this weekend are set for 3:00 p.m. starts at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
