Women’s Soccer hits the road for a Big South match at Charleston Southern

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will be back in action on Wednesday when it visits Charleston Southern for another Big South contest. Kickoff between the Bulldogs and Buccaneers is set for 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – Asheville picked up a 1-0 victory over Gardner-Webb last Saturday at Greenwood Field. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 3-4-3 overall and 1-0-1 in Big South.
A pair of Players of the Week – Bronwyn Luitwieler and Shae Hassig earned weekly honors from the Big South earlier this week. Luitwieler was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Hassig was tabbed the League's Freshman of the Week.
Confidence in the Big South – Asheville's Big South record currently sits at 1-0-1 after defeating Gardner-Webb (1-0) and tying Winthrop (0-0). This marks the best start for the Bulldogs in league play since 2014 when they also began 1-0-1 after defeating Campbell (1-0) and tying Presbyterian (2-2).
