Men’s Tennis hosts Campbell Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team looks to get back in the win column this weekend, welcoming Campbell to the Asheville Racquet Club on Saturday. The match, which was originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m., has been moved to 5:00 p.m. due to weather.
Last Time Out
After scoring a 4-3 victory at North Carolina A&T last Thursday, the Bulldogs fell at Radford on Sunday. The Highlanders, who are a perfect 4-0 in Big South play, dropped Asheville's record to 2-1 in the league. Harry Thursfield scored a big win at the No. 2 flight, topping Guilherme Severin 6-4, 6-4, while Leo Bierbaum was able to grab a victory at the No. 2 flight. The Bulldogs sit 8-4 overall this season and are currently tied with Presbyterian in the standings.
A look at The Camels
Campbell enters the weekend sitting atop the Big South standings alongside Radford with a perfect 4-0 record in conference play. The Camels are also tied for the most wins among league teams, sporting a record of 11-4 on the season. Campbell, who has won eight consecutive matches, are particularly strong in doubles, going 27-10 on the season and 21-5 at the No. 1 and 2 doubles flights combined. In singles competition, flights No. 4 through 6 all have at least 10 wins
Series History
Although Campbell has dominated the series over the years (11-3), UNC Asheville scored a huge 7-0 victory in Buies Creek last season, snapping a six-match skid.
