ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After having a break in the schedule, UNC Asheville' Men's Tennis has a busy week, visiting North Carolina A&T for a Big South matchup Thursday, before hosting Charlotte on Friday afternoon.

Bouncing Back
The Bulldogs will look to get back to their winning ways on Thursday, having dropped its last two matches before the break. Still, Asheville is in a good spot, posting a 7-3 record with two of its three losses coming by just one point, the other coming at the hands of No. 74 ETSU.

A look at the Aggies
North Carolina A&T sits at 7-5 on the season and is 0-2 in the Big South, falling to Radford and Presbyterian. The Aggies enter Thursday on somewhat of a hot streak, winning seven of their last eight matches. Esteban Lopez has posted a record of 5-2 at the No. 1 flight, while Vasil Ivanov is 1-0 at No. 1 and 4-3 at No. 2. The duo is an even 4-4 in doubles action, while Eder Blanco has scored four points at the No. 3 singles flight. The teams haven't played since the early 2000s, with the Bulldogs taking both of those matchups comfortably.

A look at the 49ers
Charlotte has gotten off to a strong start, posting a record of 9-4 this spring, with three of its losses coming to top-12 teams. Charlotte, which is ranked No. 43 in the most recent ITA rankings, has won six straight, including a 4-2 victory over No. 60 UTSA in San Antonio. Thomas Brown has seen all the action at the No. 1 flight, posting a record of 8-5. The No. 3 and 4 singles spots have served the 49ers well, with Stefanos Savva going 7-4 at No. 3 and Coy Simon going 9-3 at No. 4. The Bulldogs have topped Charlotte just one time in 18 tries, winning 5-1 in 2011.
