Men’s Tennis cruises to 6-1 win versus Emmanuel

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team kept its perfect record intact Saturday, topping Emmanuel College 6-1 at the Asheville Racquet Club.
Jon Brann Reid and Leo Bierbaum were victorious at the No. 1 doubles flight (6-2), while Sirawit Daosaengsawang and Quinn Fender grabbed the team point for the Bulldogs, topping Emmanuel's Mkhanya and Crespo 6-3.
In singles competition, Reid was forced to a third set against Mkhanya, but swept the third 6-0. At the No. 2 flight, Bierbaum took care of business 6-2, 6-0, while Daosaengsawang grabbed a win over Crespo 6-2, 6-3 to clinch the team win. Bruno and Rafa Serra would each down their opponents in straight sets, while Quinn Fender was leading his match 2-1 before he retired.
The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround, visiting UNCG Sunday. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
