Volleyball wraps up its season this weekend at Campbell & High Point

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville volleyball team will close out its 2022 season this weekend by traveling to Campbell and High Point. Asheville will take on the Camels at 6 p.m. on Friday before taking on the Panthers at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Time Out – Asheville fell in four sets to Presbyterian (25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-14) last Saturday at the Justice Center. With Saturday's setback, the Bulldogs are now 4-20 overall and 1-13 in Big South play.
Among the Tops in Blocks – The tandem of Lexy Cole and Nina Finderle enter the final weekend of the regular season ranking among the top 10 in the league in blocks per set. Finderle ranks ninth (0.86), while Cole is tenth (0.81).
Digs, Digs, and more Digs – Giulia Rodrigues is currently fifth in the conference averaging 4.33 digs per set. Rodrigues also ranks fifth in the league in total digs coming in with 359 on the season.
About the Opponents – Campbell will enter the final weekend of the regular season sporting an overall record of 16-10 and a 12-2 mark in conference play. A player to watch for the Camels is Melody Paige as she is among the nation's top players in terms of blocks (4th – 146) and blocks per set (11th – 1.40).
High Point, meanwhile, is 19-9 overall and 12-2 in Big South play. As a team, the Panthers rank at or near the top of the conference in multiple statistical categories. A player to watch for HPU is Sydney Palazzolo who has racked up 386 kills this season.
Series Rewind vs. Opponents - The Bulldogs hold the edge in the all-time series against both Campbell (19-14) and High Point (32-20). However, the Camels and Panthers have held the edge recently. Asheville will be looking for its first win in Buies Creek since 2014 and its first victory in High Point since 2009.
