Women’s Soccer readies for a road match at High Point

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will return to action on Wednesday when it visits High Point in a Big South conference matchup. Kickoff between the Panthers and Bulldogs is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – The last match for Asheville was back on September 28 where it fell on the road at Charleston Southern by a score of 2-0. With the loss, the Bulldogs are now 3-5-3 overall and 1-1-1 in Big South play.
Schedule Switch – Wednesday's match at High Point is a result of a previous postponement. This contest was originally slated to be played last Saturday (October 1) but was postponed until Wednesday due to the impacts of Hurricane Ian.
On the Road Again – Beginning with Wednesday's match at High Point, the Bulldogs will begin a stretch of matches where they won't be playing at home very often. Asheville will close out the final month of its season with four road games in its final six contests. After Wednesday, the Bulldogs will make trips to USC Upstate (October 12), Longwood (October 15), and Presbyterian (October 26) with home games against Radford (October 8) and Campbell (October 22).
About the Panthers – High Point will bring a 2-8-2 overall record, which includes a 1-2 mark in league action into Wednesday's match. HPU suffered a 4-0 loss to Campbell its last time out but secured its first conference win of the season in the matchup before that against Longwood (1-0).
